There may exist butterflies in one’s stomach, but there are always rats that run under our skin.

Some of the thoughts and urges that we bottle within ourselves are putrid. We let them courses through us like rodents scurry down a rancid sewer.

The fear of exposure, the fear for us to open up and reveal our darkest and deepest thoughts and secrets is like letting the rats see the light of day, to run free from the encampments of our consciousness.
